LARCUM Conference 2012

Living Out the LARCUM Covenant, Vatican II at 50
Nov. 30, 3-9 p.m. & Dec. 1, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Virginia State LARCUM Committee will once again host the annual State LARCUM Conference in Richmond (Lakeside), Virginia. Lutherans, Anglicans, Roman Catholics and United Methodists will meet for two-day discussions of Living Out the LARCUM Covenant, Vatican II at 50.

Four congregations in Northside Richmond representing the different denominations will join together to host this conference.   

The guest speaker will be Dr. John Borelli, Special Assistant for Interreligious Initiatives of the President of Georgetown University and former director of the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He will speak on the impact of Vatican II on the world ecumenical landscape:  The Formative Period, 1948-1985; Developing an Ecumenical Vision, and Continuing Commitment.

Participating churches in Richmond, Va., include:
Christ Lutheran Church – 7809 Woodman Road,
Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church – 8000 Hermitage Road,
Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church – 8200 Woodman Road
Lakeside United Methodist Church – 2333 Hilliard Road.

The regular conference fee is $ 35 (Student rate – $15).
